    Responsibilities

    GLOTECH, Inc. seeks an  Administrative Assistant to join our collaborative team, in support of our population health research work programs with the NIH - National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD).

     

    This position is located on Rockledge Drive, in North Bethesda, MD.

     

    Job Description:

      

    The Administrative Assistant performs the following regular work responsibilities, while supporting research programs:

     

    • Updates and retrieves information from various research sites, databases and systems (ORCiD, PubMed, Google Scholar and Web of Science).
    • Creates and maintains information in EndNote Library,  a commercial reference management software package, used to manage bibliographies and references, when writing articles or bibliographies.
    • Collects and analyzes data to prepare reports and other documents.
    • Maintains appropriate files for population health research projects.
    • Provides projects, meetings and recruiting/interviewing coordination.
    • Prepares and edits correspondences, communications, presentations and other documents.
    • Records, transcribes and distributes information.
    • Interacts directly with clients and co-workers.
    • Communicate regularly with study teams, via email, conference calls and in-person.
    • Regularly uses Microsoft Office software applications – Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access.

    Qualifications

     Qualification Requirements:

     

    • Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience providing administrative support and/or research administrative assistance, preferably in the public or population health field.
    • Proficient experience and skills with the use of Microsoft Office software applications to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel,  and Access and with Adobe Acrobat Pro. Experience with EndNote, preferred.
    • Possess the working knowledge of standard office administrative procedures, with the ability to read and follow written instructions.
    • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Possess a meticulous attention to accuracy and detail.
    • Possess strong people skills and have a professional demeanor. 
    • Possess the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and have the flexibility of working both collaboratively and independently.
