IT Product Owner - Data Platform

GLOTECH, Inc. is seeking an experienced IT Product Owner – Data Platform to support the corporate office of United Parks & Resorts located in Orlando, FL. This position is responsible for the data platforms that enable data delivery teams, ensuring the underlying capabilities meet the needs and preferences of the product’s stakeholders, while being aligned with business and technology leadership strategy. The main duties include determining the overall vision of the platform, managing prioritization, and deciding the features that deliver the highest quality and most valuable deliverables to the organization. This requires collaborating with internal end users and their leadership teams to understand and anticipate their needs, translate them into requirements, ensure development delivers quality solutions through a prioritized backlog.

• Strategize with business stakeholders and technology leadership to define the vision of data platforms.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology leadership to define the costs and value of the platform
• Create and maintain platform roadmaps based on the vision, user needs, solution architecture, feasibility, and cost
• Enable all stages of data delivery supply chain, including waterfall, agile, and CI/CD environments
• Develop and refine high quality backlog work items
• Managing and prioritizing and communicating platform status to stakeholders, delivery team members, and leadership.
• Contributes, maintains, and continuously improve data engineering delivery processes
• Participating in meetings with end users, developers, as well as with business and technology leadership
• Experience and passion for data governance and data quality initiatives.

• STRONG leadership and communication skills
• Experience with cloud data ops, data management and data engineering including data integration and interoperability best practices
• Experience across complex environments with multiple stakeholders with competing priorities, interests, and demands
• Empathy for end users, team members, and stakeholders
• Experience with on-premises and cloud data environments (including GCP/Big Query and SQL Server) specifically in delivery and value
• Strong technical data skills with SQL, python, terraform
• Ability and desire to roll up your sleeves and accomplish tactical goals as necessary for your platform. This may include data analysis, creating scripts, helping with testing, proof of concept/designing prototypes/mock ups of data visualizations, and creating presentations for your product to gain alignment
• Experience and passion for master data management, data governance and data quality initiatives.
• Must be available to work onsite in Orlando, FL
